We are seeking a Project Manager Configuration and Change Management  (f/m/d) for our Braunschweig location as soon as possible. This position is available on a full-time basis. 

 

 

Your role at Alstom - What you can achieve with us 

 

In our modern office at ARTmax in Braunschweig, over 250 colleagues from 26 countries work on research and development for the digitalization of rail. The Corporate Functions play a key role in supporting and continuously expanding the performance of our locations. In this role, you will report to Martin Jessen and work in a motivated and dedicated team. 

 

Your tasks


In this role, you will manage cross-departmental projects in the field of interlocking technology. You will oversee projects in this area from planning, implementation, acceptance, and warranty, working closely with our clients. 

 

  • You manage change and configuration management in terms of cost, time and quality and develop possible solutions, define milestones and responsibilities
  • You monitor the progress of work packages and work results of the entire portfolio and derive any necessary changes to the configuration of the interlocking systems
  • You continuously assess and report risks resulting from the need for changes and, if necessary, initiate solution measures in cooperation with the project managers and the portfolio risk manager 
  • They ensure economic success and customer satisfaction 
  • You promote team spirit, manage effective project coordination and optimize the information flow of the team of project managers in our business unit

• A successfully completed degree in a technical subject and several years of professional experience in the railway industry - welcome
• Expertise in all common signaling technologies for local and long-distance transport - welcome
• Experience in project management and planning  

• Strong technical understanding, good knowledge of contract management (knowledge of the procurement and contract regulations for construction (VOB) is very advantageous)

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and good orientation skills in foreign cultures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Persuasiveness and a confident demeanor in an international environment
• Quick comprehension, eye for the essentials and commitment
• Fluent German and English skills, knowledge of French is advantageous
