Job Summary:
The Communications Manager is a pivotal contributor in elevating our brand, cultivating our reputation, and authentically connecting with the communities we serve. This role involves leading the development and execution of high-impact communications that reflect our mission, strengthen our voice, and drive engagement across all media and community touchpoints. More than just content creation, the Communications Manager guides messaging through critical moments, from major announcements to milestones, ensuring consistent brand integrity and public trust.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and implements high-impact communication plans that directly align with organizational goals and brand strategy. Crafts, revises, and distributes comprehensive communications for various audiences while overseeing content creation and messaging to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with company values and objectives. Manages multiple projects with a clear roadmap for immediate, short-term, and long-term objectives.
Serves as a partner to service line leaders, internal committees, and other key stakeholders, offering expert guidance on communication opportunities. Maintains open lines of communication, facilitating seamless information exchange, and ensuring that all communication efforts are integrated and contribute to shared objectives. Identifies strategic advantages and fosters open, ongoing dialogue to ensure communications are always effective and aligned.
Oversees all aspects of high-profile special events and gatherings, transforming them into compelling storytelling opportunities. This includes creating memorable and well-coordinated experiences for both leaders and attendees, ensuring every detail contributes to a successful and impactful occasion.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communications initiatives, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication tools and platforms.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs - healthcare or mission-driven sector preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills-able to adapt tone and format for various audiences and platforms.
- Proven experience managing media relations, including crisis communications and high-stakes reputation management.
- Creative and analytical thinking with the ability to turn data and insights into smart strategies and engaging narratives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Annual Salary: $86,960 - $138,844 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
