Position Description
Coordinates communications for the Center for Christianity, Culture and the Arts. Provides administrative support to the Executive Director of the CCCA, including, but not limited to: front-line office duties, special projects for the Director, acting as communications liaison to internal and external constituents, developing and maintaining digital content, and managing project budgets.

The person who fills this position must be someone who personally agrees with Biola’s Articles of Faith and Statement of Biblical Principles and who is supportive of the positions taken by Biola as contained in its Eschatology Teaching Position. As such, this person may not speak against or act in a manner inconsistent with these positions during the course of their employment at Biola.

This position reports to the Director of the CCCA.
Educational Requirements
bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Work Requirements
· Non-exempt (02), part-time – 28 hours/week, 11 months per year.
· This position requires residence in California, but may be performed either remotely, in person at Biola’s campus in La Mirada, California, or in a hybrid/flexible modality.
Essential Duties
· Coordinate, support and provide professional communication with internal and external constituents regarding initiatives as follows:
. Provides front-line management of incoming phone calls, emails, and other electronic communication for daily operations, special projects and event planning, handling issues as qualified to do so.
. Manages relations with contracted employees and volunteers performing work on behalf of the Center for Christianity, Culture and the Arts.
. Plan and coordinate on campus events, digital content, and related projects with Biola staff and faculty.
· Manage the operations for projects as follows:
. Work closely with Executive Director, contract employees, Biola staff, and volunteer members of the community to ensure that project budgets and timelines are adhered to by communicating regularly regarding projected costs, managing expenditures, and tracking budget.
. Work with Advancement department in tracking donations, maintaining donor relations, and tracking giving campaigns.
· Manage and process administrative paper flow as follows:
. Process all contract requests, honorariums, and volunteer submissions for projects and events.
Open, process, reply, route and file incoming and outgoing interoffice and U.S. mail.
. Maintain complete files by accurately indexing, organizing and filing all documentation relating to the projects.
· Maintain CCCA web site content as follows:
. Utilize web site content management system to post new content for projects, event information, video and textual content generated by and for the CCCA.
. Coordinate with university Marketing and Video Production departments on producing and publishing new textual and visual content across multiple digital platforms.

Required Skills/Qualifications
· Professional and experienced in administrative office management with excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Experienced with Mac computers and comfortable with changes in software programming.
· Document Management: Organizing, filing, and managing paperwork (both physical and electronic).
· Calendar Management: Scheduling and handling appointments, meetings, and events.
· Google Workspace Proficiency: Familiarity with Google products including Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides, Google Drive and Google Meet.
· Able to interact with Biola faculty and staff and able to professionally represent Biola in written and verbal communications with external donors, volunteers, visiting artists & scholars.
· Possess basic traits of honesty, integrity, loyalty, confidentiality, high quality of customer service, and avoidance of conflicts of interest situations.
· Able to follow directions well and work independently once instructed.
· Adaptability: Embracing changes and adjusting priorities smoothly.
· Problem-Solving: Being resourceful and adaptable when faced with challenges.
· Maintain a lifestyle with sound Christian principles and those established by the institution. Participate in the spiritual growth, development, care and support of other employees near this position.
Other Desired Duties/Skills
· Experience with web-based Content Management System(s).
· Experience with digital video and image editing software.
· Data Entry: Accurate and efficient input of data in database.
Hiring Range: $21.53 - 24.55 per hour
