Position Description:
The University of Louisville is seeking an experienced Communications and Marketing Specialist IV for the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership (KY-MEP). Position will lead efforts engaging Kentucky’s manufacturing community with marketing and branding initiatives to drive brand awareness and growth.
This is a hands-on role for a marketing generalist with strong creative and digital execution skills. Position will manage campaigns from concept through reporting, bring clarity to brand messaging, and collaborate with a small but driven team. Exempt position is considered a hybrid position with both remote and in person office hours. KY-MEP main office is located off campus at the UofL Atria Senior Living Campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage marketing and branding strategies, including website content, SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, newsletters, direct mail, and advertising.

Maintain and evolve KY-MEP and affiliate websites (Drupal CMS), including creating new pages/modules, uploading content, and optimizing UX/UI.

Create video content and direct visual storytelling efforts to support brand and program initiatives.

Collaborate cross-functionally with program leads, university departments, and external partners to support KY-MEP goals and initiatives.

Develop, execute, track and analyze the performance of advertising campaigns.

Coordinate promotional events and conferences.

Develop, lead, and coordinate student workers in marketing activities and support.

Travel as appropriate to support activities and efforts.

Other duties aligned with marketing activities as determined by KY-MEP senior management team.
Preferred Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience developing and executing a successful multi-faceted digital footprint leveraging multiple marketing channels.

5+ years of experience in website development, management, and optimization.

Experienced in developing, editing, and managing professional-grade videos and photos.

Portfolio examples showcasing inbound/outbound marketing activities, and videography.

Working knowledge of marketing and outreach techniques and best practices.

Experienced setting and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for success

Potential instate travel.

Ability to stay overnight as needed.

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud outreach.

Experience with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic tools.
-
Experience executing ad campaigns via LinkedIn and Meta Ads.
This is a grant funded position with funding through 12/31/27. Continued employment contingent on grant renewals.
This role has a hybrid work arrangement with offices located in downtown Louisville at the JB Nichols Campus for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$100,553.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$67,035.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
