This is a US-Based role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable cloud-native applications and microservices primarily on AWS.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative software solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python following best practices for cloud development.
  • Implement and manage automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure high-quality and rapid software delivery.
  • Integrate with various cloud services and APIs, optimizing application performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring our cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with long-term strategic goals.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues across distributed cloud environments, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and incident response to ensure high availability and operational excellence of our cloud services.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, software development trends, and best practices, evaluating and recommending new tools and approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 2 years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on cloud-native application development on a cloud provider, preferably AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in the Python programming language, Object Orientated Programming, and software design principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, serverless functions, and event-driven systems.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestrators.
  • Familiarity with cloud platform services relevant to software development (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
  • Understanding cloud security best practices for application and data.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Gitlab preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. 

The pay range for this position is 109,800 - 197,700 annually with a target incentive of 5-8 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
