This position may be offered as a remote position. Candidates will be required to have reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include working day-to-day operations during Pacific Standard business hours, or online training.
Position Summary
The Clinical Peer Review Nurse Coordinator will join a dynamic and mission-driven quality team where their clinical expertise and attention to detail will directly support the medical staff in delivering safe, high-quality care. This pivotal role aligns closely with the Medical Staff Services and serves as a key liaison among clinical teams, risk management, and quality departments.
As a Registered Nurse, you will lead and facilitate medical staff peer review activities that uphold the highest standards of clinical practice. You'll coordinate case reviews, ensure timely and confidential documentation, and support physicians and committees in evaluating care outcomes. Your work will foster a culture of transparency, learning and continuous improvement-critical to the organization's success and alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Position Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing experience in: Quality assurance/improvement, Patient safety initiatives, Risk management, Clinical quality programs, Healthcare compliance, Professional (medical and advance professional) Staff Peer Review is required.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; required
- Master's Degree in Quality Management, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or related healthcare field; preferred
Certifications/Licensure
- RN: Registered Nurse license by the Oregon State Board of Nursing; required upon start
- Master's Degree in Quality Management, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or related healthcare field; preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage peer review processes with precision and discretion
- Serve as a trusted partner to medical staff, clinical teams, and quality leaders
- Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of case reviews and documentation
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Promote collaboration to drive improved patient outcomes across the organization
