About the Role
Title: Capture Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Farnborough England GB
Workplace: Hybrid remote
Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Capture Specialist to join our Creative team, to create amazing and impactful marketing assets, across both nDreams' own titles and those of our sister publisher Megabit.
The rundown:
- 6 month fixed term contract
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
- Hybrid
- Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
This is a technical creative role supporting our marketing video team in capturing VR gameplay footage from our first and third-party videogames. This will include:
- Capturing in-game video footage from in-progress or live game builds.
- Utilising gameplay capture tools and in engine cameras.
- Editing and versioning trailers, or other video media for various marketing platforms, such as digital stores and social media.
- Physically performing within VR environments to capture emotive gameplay.
- Assisting in guiding players during large group capture sessions.
- Identify and report build problems.
- Helping to maintain VR hardware and ensuring game build versioning is up to date.
Requirements
The skills you'll need:
- Experience capturing engaging VR and flat-screen gameplay footage for use in trailers and social media assets.
- Good working knowledge of Premiere Pro and video post production workflows including framerates and professional codecs.
- Experience capturing gameplay from Meta Quest, PlayStation and PC platforms.
- An understanding of debug / in-engine cameras and capture terminology.
- Experience in a professional marketing/publishing/agency role in/around the games industry
- An understanding how asset versioning works across various channels.
- Ability to work in engine such as Unreal Editor or Unity would be advantageous.
- Great organisational skills.
- File naming and storage best-practices.
- Able to work efficiently across multiple projects.
- An ability to work to deadlines.
Your experience:
- Experienced within VR headsets, able to spend multiple hours in capture.
- Highly collaborative, comfortable iterating through feedback from both commercial and creative stakeholders.
- Efficient working to deadlines, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- An effective and personable communicator across different disciplines and seniorities
- Knowledgeable and passionate about video games and the video game industry.
