Note: This is a Fixed Term Contract that runs to year-end 2025. 

Employment screening assists our client's in determining whether an individual is suitable for a given position. We verify their candidate's professional and academic credentials at source and conduct a variety of database checks. Our clients utilise this information to vouch for the honesty and experience of their candidates, and to help inform their recruitment decisions.

Acting on our client's behalf, you work closely with candidates to guide them through the screening process from beginning to end. Balancing a caseload of screenings from multiple clients which vary in size and complexity, you'll be allocated cases on a daily basis which are been pre-screened and ready for action.  

You'll independently prioritise your workload ensuring client expectations and internal deadlines are met. You're responsible for reviewing incoming results, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring clear, factual screening reports are sent to clients to help them make the right hiring decisions.

Accountabilities

 

  • Managing the candidate's screening from first contact through to completion ensuring internal procedures, SLA and turnaround times for the completion of screening files are followed.  
  • Ensuring a seamless candidate experience through the delivery of excellent customer service through effective communication over the phone and in writing. 
  • Delivering service excellence to clients ensuring the timely and accurate review and submission of screening cases in line with Service Level Agreements and client expectations.  
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contacts throughout the screening process to ensure efficient and timely processing of the screening.  
  • Sending accurate and clear screening reports of a high-quality standard to the Audit team.  
  • Working efficiently and accurately, ensuring the protection of candidate data at all times.  

Responsibilities

  • Prioritising workload accordingly, ensuring allocated cases are initiated within 24 hours and completed within SLA's.  Actioning urgent screenings as and when notified by the system.  
  • Reviewing daily allocated cases to ensure candidates are screened to the standard required by the service level agreement and to ensure specific client expectations are met.
  • Guiding candidates through the screening process ensuring requirements are understood and any obstacles are resolved in a timely manner.   Liaise directly with candidates to resolve issues with missing documentation/information, or where additional information is required from the candidate to complete any/all components of the screening. 
  • Review all screening components including database, criminal/credit check results and CV comparisons against our standard best practice, taking into consideration client exceptions.  
  • Review referencing results against the date the candidate provided on the questionnaire and against the service level agreements. 
  • Identifying, reconfirming, and resolving any discrepancies or falsifications ensuring concerns are investigated and flagged to the client accordingly.  
  • Conduct a final review of the case to ensure the client requirements have been adhered to before sending to final audit. Action any remedials raised by the audit team making the necessary amendments to the screening case.  
  • Liaise with Service Delivery Coordinators and Account Managers to keep them informed of potential delays, ensure unresolved discrepancies are raised and client requests are actioned quickly and efficiently.   

Key skills, qualifications and experience

  • Resourceful collaborator who can work well with others to seek solutions

  • Ability to balance productivity with quality work
  • IT literacy and capacity to learn and work with new systems
  • Fluency in English language.
  • 2+ Years' experience in an office based, customer service role
  • Beneficial: Background in employment screening

The annual base salary for this position is 24,500. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training.  This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
