Job Description:
-
Assesses patient acuity based on diagnosis and visit reason, calculating necessary treatment time using orders and consulting with relevant staff.

Collaborates with oncology physician offices, infusion centers, and radiation oncology offices to schedule patients, negotiating date and time while avoiding resource conflicts.

Works closely with infusion center and radiation oncology leaders to maximize utilization of nursing and technician time, productivity, and resources.

Coordinates special procedure needs with appropriate departments, staff, and external resources.

Ensures patients starting chemotherapy or radiation therapy are scheduled for education prior to their first appointment.
