The Role
As Brand Designer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and stewarding Amperity's brand design standards. Reporting to our Design Lead, you will dive into competitive research and experiments and work together to shape the future of our visual identity and set the bar for design excellence in our industry. With your keen eye for color, typography, and composition, you'll collaborate with teams across Amperity to drive engagement through world-class storytelling online and in-person.
Interesting Problems
- Make complex stories simple through visual storytelling, including new iconography, educational infographics, and illustration that spans web, print, slides, and more.
- Collaborate with Content and Product Marketing to produce stellar digital collateral across mediums like e-books, one-pagers, case studies, webinars, and ads.
- Work with the Design and Web team to develop our new web design strategy, identify areas for innovation and excitement, and build detailed mockups in Figma.
- Support the ideation and execution of major marketing campaigns. Contribute to audience research, brainstorm sessions, concept pitches, and design experiments.
- Help individuals in Sales and Customer Success sharpen their visual storytelling and hook major clients through slide design.
- Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams like Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and PR, as well as attend regular critique and workshop sessions with web and product design.
- Be a steward for the Amperity brand across the company. Help uphold design excellence and promote enthusiasm about design, exploring news ways to improve brand representation at Amperity.
About You
- 2+ years of experience working as a professional brand designer
- Bachelor or Bachelor of Fine Art's degree in graphic design, communication design, or a related field.
- You have experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and Google Slides.
- You have experience in typography, layout, color, and knowledgable in all core design principles. You can adapt your style to any brief. You have a sharp eye for detail, and maintain high standards of design excellence.
- You have interest in a wide scope of design applications and can translate your design expertise to new challenges. You take in inspiration from other creative fields, and enjoy sharing your passions with your team.
- You have strong opinions and can advocate for them, but hold them loosely. You are proactive in communicating blockers and can mediate conflicting feedback to arrive at a compromise. You can present your ideas to a group, and are able to collaborate across teams beyond design.
- You form empathy for your audience and your collaborators. You maintain a calm, positive attitude, and always assume best intent from your coworkers

Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility
Compensation
Base Salary: $66,000 - $90,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.
Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.
Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
