We are looking for a full-time Medical Billing Specialist to join our customer-focused, supportive billing team.
- Position: PDN Billing and A/R Specialist
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
THE POSITION:
- Create and send insurance claims and patient statements.
- Rebill insurance companies and third parties to secure payments.
- Analyze partial payments and denials from insurance companies for resolution.
- Verify entries made by cashiers, making necessary corrections.
- Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and establish payment plans.
- Send delinquent accounts to collection agencies as needed.
- Process insurance payments in our computerized billing system.
- Train personnel on the computerized billing system as required.
- Respond to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies.
- Make recommendations to management regarding write-offs and adjustments.
- Conduct confirmations and quality assurance reviews; develop corrective actions for approval.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable
- Proven experience with claims submission and denial management
- Understanding of revenue cycle management
- Excellent data entry and accuracy skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Previous medical billing and coding experience preferred
