Job Summary
As a PHS Billing Analyst I, you’ll play a central role in the billing administration for employer payroll deducted accounts. You’ll handle a variety of responsibilities—from general billing inquires to researching rate discrepancies —and collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, federal regulations, and contractual guidelines. Your work supports timely billing, effective communication, and system integrity, contributing to efficient billing operations and financial reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Communicate with our internal and external clients via email and respond timely to their inquiries
- Research policies for discrepancies, delinquencies, and document our retention system.
- Process suspense clearing monthly
- Prepare manual invoicing for payroll accounts as needed
- Review Open enrollment audits for accuracy and advise any changes needed
- Audit data for accuracy and troubleshoot billing or system issues with cross-functional teams
- Participate in system enhancements and special projects to improve billing processes
Skills and Background You’ll Need
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience – Must Have
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or complex financial environments
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word
- Experience working across multiple systems
- Ability to analyze and communicate billing information effectively
Preferred
- Familiarity with billing for alternately billed groups or group insurance policies

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
20.91 - 30.53
