As an Intake Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a vital role in their journey. This position requires empathy, efficiency, and a positive, professional presence. You’ll listen to their stories, explain their options, and guide them toward the right next steps- whether that’s working with us or referring them to a trusted partner. Your mission is to ensure every person feels respected, supported, and informed.
Key Responsibilities
As an Intake Specialist your duties will include, but are by no means limited to:
- Client Engagement: Utilize your exceptional people skills to connect with potential clients, establishing trust and rapport from the first interaction.
- Consultative Approach: Carefully assess each potential client’s unique situation, confidently presenting the best course of action and how TORKLAW can support their journey to justice.
- Communication Excellence: Exhibit outstanding communication abilities across all platforms (phone, text, chat, and email), ensuring clarity, empathy, and professionalism in every exchange.
- Precision in Execution: Perform accurate data entry and maintain diligent follow-up to ensure no detail is overlooked in the potential case intake process.
- Team Collaboration and Independence: Thrive in a supportive team environment while also possessing the drive and discipline to work autonomously.
- Seamless Hand-off: transition the newly retained client to the team that will handle his/her case.
Requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
- Ideally 1+ year if experience in a similar role, or equivalent education
- Computer literate and proficient with standard off productivity software
- Effective team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- A problem-solver the ability to handle challenging situations
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or administration preferred
