The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.

Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary:

The Battleground and Candidate Fundraising Coordinator will focus on one of the department's team verticals: Battleground Fundraising, Candidate Fundraising, and Digital Candidate Fundraising. While Coordinators will focus on a specific vertical, they will be trained in best practices for all three teams, and can expect to contribute to the work of each vertical throughout the cycle as they have capacity and needs arise.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Battleground Fundraising team in the day-to-day fundraising operations on behalf of Frontline Incumbent Members of Congress as well as Red to Blue challenger and open-seat candidates. Including but not limited to:

  • Drafting event invitations

  • Processing, tracking, and uploading donations and in-kind contributions

  • Supporting staff at Battleground events

  • Drafting memos, floorcards, and call sheets

  • Assisting Candidate Fundraising team with their work supporting the finance teams of Frontline Members, as well as candidates in targeted Districts in Play. Including but not limited to:

  • Preparing materials for call time

  • Staffing call-time virtually and in-person

  • Donor and contribution research projects

  • Tracking campaign fundraising metrics

  • Help support DC and national travel plans

  • Assisting Digital Candidate Fundraising team with their work supporting and advising on digital fundraising best practices. Including but not limited to:

  • Drafting digital fundraising copy

  • Producing, checklisting, and scheduling email and SMS messages

  • Stewarding copy through the approval process

  • Tracking and updating digital fundraising claims

  • Working with the digital team to lead fundraising calls with campaigns

  • Providing key administrative and organizational support to the Battleground and Candidate Fundraising department.

  • Other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Battleground & Candidate Fundraising team.

Requirements

  • One cycle of finance and/or digital experience on a campaign is highly preferred;
  • Superior time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities;
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • One previous cycle of political experience required;
  • Previous administrative experience is preferred;
  • NGP experience is preferred;
  • Flexible hours frequently required for this position;
