Position Overview:
The Insulet UX team is seeking an Associate UX Designer to join our team. The Associate UX Designer will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional members of to ensure a world-class product design for our data products.

Responsibilities:
- You will contribute to product UX design for one of the major areas of our global product suite. You'll implement the UX design process, partnering with product management and user research on initial research and product definition, through concepting, crafting detailed designs, prototyping, testing with user research and human factors, and working with the other UX disciplines and engineering on implementation.
- Contribute to the overall UX design vision for a product, feature or experience working within the scope and customer needs as defined by the product manager.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly prototype and test with the User Research team and iterate designs. Analyze customer problems and participate in the design of delightful solutions that meet measurable business goals.
- Work closely with product and business partners to develop a shared vision and help define and design experiences that deliver on those shared objectives. Ask inquisitive questions and embrace innovation and strive for simplicity at the core of Insulet's brand.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure we leverage the scale offered by our platform without compromising on core experience principles
- Partner with other designs to improve the quality of your designs and continue your growth as a designer.
- Contribute to positive improvements in team processes, tools, and collaboration practices, helping to foster a strong, inclusive UX culture
Required Interpersonal Skills & Behaviors:
- Ability to Present UX design work to partners and articulate your design rationale
- Partner to measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations.
- Collaborate with partners, product managers, and development leads to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision.
- Basic understanding of UX design standard methodologies to design solutions
- Ability to break down big design problems into clear results needed while working in agile sprint teams. Participate in the design thinking processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively within our production team and with our partners.
- Be open to receiving and giving feedback to build stronger design practices.
- You will thrive on proactively seeking the answers to the next questions, always looking to better your skills, and work closely with more senior designers to enrich our UX community.
- You love a juicy complex problem to solve!
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Applicable skills in design tools such as Figma, Framer, Sketch, FigJam, Adobe Creative Cloud, JIRA, Confluence, Miro
- Basic understanding of UX design methodologies. Works with senior staff to understand and apply methods in design work.
- Online portfolio of work that shows any previous work or project experience and illustrated the depth of your understanding in the various areas of design and design thinking. These can be professional or academic works. PLEASE PROVIDE PORTFOLIO LINK AND PASSWORD (IF NEEDED)
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and the maturity to ask questions
- Deep passion for user-centered design and advocacy for the customer experience, basic understanding of using user research, and data for decision making
- Have a strong aesthetic sense for beautiful designs and pay attention to the details
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate your ideas
- Preferred qualification: Strong understanding of data visualization and designing for data-rich solutions
Education and Experience:
- BS in Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, HCI, Computer Science preferred or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years of working experience
- Preferred qualification: experience with Agile and ability to assists in sprints, helping more senior designers to via design tasks and administrative tasks to support design delivery.

- NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from our Acton office at least 3x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $69,450.00 - $104,175.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
