Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, a division of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Director, Scientific and MSL Communications within the Medical Affairs (MAF) Neuroscience (NS) US Team located in Titusville, NJ/Bedminster, NJ.

The Associate Director, Scientific and MSL Communications leads the Medical Affairs publications process and analyzes and interprets clinical information to author and maintain Neuroscience Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and Medical Affairs resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Medical Affairs publications operations - Responsible for strategic execution of publication project timelines, agency relations, budget, and ongoing review of pubs plan.

  • Partner with and/or lead cross-functional Medical Affairs workstreams - lead development of integrated scientific data dissemination plans and foster interdepartmental collaboration. Serve as US Medical Affairs champion within the global publications team.

  • Develops MSL/MA Scientific Resources - Responsible for creation of innovative, high quality, and complaint neuroscience field medical proactive & reactive resources, FAQs, training resources, etc. Imagine new ways of engaging customers by identifying new methods of educational methodology in an evolving external environment.

  • Leads selected Medical Affairs projects - Meet the needs of broader Medical Affairs department conceptualizing and leading projects.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with 5 or more years of experience is required. A PharmD/PhD/Doctorate in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Nursing 7+ years of experience is preferred.

This role necessitates experience in scientific/medical communications in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record interpreting, and presenting scientific data. Outstanding meticulous written communication skills are a critical element. Experience with data communications beyond publications is highly desired.

Established record of results through strong collaboration, project management, and partnering skills. Vendor relationship management experience and creativity / problem-solving compliantly is essential to success in this role!

Understand multiple communication/dissemination channels i.e., congress, journals, promotion, FDAMA 114

Knowledge of good publication practice including ICMJE, GPP3, Consort Guidelines, AMA Manual of Style, among others. Solid understanding of clinical trial design, biostatistics, standard editorial style conventions, and journal requirements for publications preferred

Consistency in integrating scientific, medical and commercial strategic priorities

This position is located in Titusville, NJ/Bedminster NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel for conference attendance and company meetings.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : 150,000-180,000
