Summary  

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Associate Director of Paid Media to lead and scale our paid media programs across multiple digital platforms. This senior-level role will own the paid media strategy end-to-end—planning, execution, optimization, and performance measurement—while partnering closely with audience experts, growth marketing, and our agency partner.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in digital advertising, advanced knowledge of SEM, paid social, programmatic, and analytics, and a proven ability to drive measurable business outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Digital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our paid media vision, onboarding and managing agency relationships, and building a robust performance framework that maximizes ROI.  

Job Responsibilities 

  • Partner with growth marketing, creative, and digital to align paid campaign channels, tactics, and measurement goals with company growth objectives.  
  • Work with our agency partner and audience leads to develop and launch paid media campaigns across platforms like Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Microsoft Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and programmatic/DSP platforms.  
  • Serve as the primary strategic leader for paid media planning and the main point of contact to our media agency, coordinating across all marketing teams and ensuring timely feedback and approvals are given to keep execution on track  
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance and optimize toward KPIs such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and LTV.  
  • Encourage A/B testing for ad messaging, creative variations, targeting strategies, and landing page performance.  
  • Manage and allocate budgets across campaigns in collaboration with marketing audience experts, ensuring spend is paced and aligned with audience size and growth marketing objectives. Provide quarterly budget guidance and ensure fiscal oversight of paid media spend.  
  • Establish a regular reporting structure to capture big wins and actionable insights on campaign performance, trends, and optimization opportunities in partnership with our paid media agency and using tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.  
  • Support market research to identify opportunities and refine targeting strategies, leveraging tools like Conductor, Sprout Social, and Pendo.  
  • Stay current on digital advertising trends, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and ad platform updates to ensure best practices and compliance.  
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to help refine strategy and improve campaign effectiveness.

Education, Experience, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.   
  • 7+ years of experience managing paid digital campaigns across multiple platforms.  
  • Strong proficiency with ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads, etc.) and analytics tools (GA4, Tag Manager, Looker Studio, or equivalent).  
  • Proven track record of optimizing campaigns to meet or exceed performance goals (CTR, CPA, ROAS).  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience crafting compelling ad copy.  
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with creative, content, and marketing teams.  
  • Familiarity with privacy compliance, attribution models, and the evolving digital ad landscape.  

Work Environment 

This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access.

Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.
