Purpose of the role
Colas Ltd. have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Engineer to join the Asset team based in Portsmouth(PO6 1TA). Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out PANDEF (Process of Analysis Deflections) analysis validation and sensitivity in support of Pavement Asset Network Condition Indicator processing and also carry out the Footway Condition Index data analysis.
Main Responsibilities
As an Engineer for the Asset team, you will be required: to c arry out PCI sensitivity for road sections - using probable deflections and traffic to produce a list of vulnerable sections, pavement Residual Life Analysis, prepare NCI and FCI methodology and process reports, carryout SCRIM and accident analysis risk sites, carry out DFT SCRIM and work done survey data analysis, asset valuation analysis, assist in VRS data analysis and inspections management, assist in carrying out Pendulum testing for accident risk sites, assist in carrying out retroreflectivity test road marking, to carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager. To ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Transport Engineering preferred or relevant experience. We are also open to a Graduate who will have the right attitude towards working and learning the role. You will have great communication skills and be proficient at using Microsoft Office Suites, in particular Excel. A fu ll UK Driving Licence is required for this role.
