About the Role

To provide administrative support and guidance to the Appeal and Claims departments for disability and leave administration. This utilizing Third Party Administration services.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring all new appeal receipts from a work queue for timely assignments based on approved workflows.
• Researching Client processes to assign or return as needed and set future tasking. Send correspondence to include acknowledgement notices and other letter template/email needs as required.
• Providing clear and comprehensive communication to insured, plan holders, attorneys, and others. Could be by phone, e-mail and mail with respect to issues in dispute.
• Entering data and monitoring in the Appeal Log and/or similar tracking tools for reporting purposes.
• Monitoring Incoming correspondence through Mailbox and portal platforms to add or upload to the associated claim. Tasking will be set as needed to alert its assigned Appeal Specialist or Case Manager etc.
• Providing support and guidance to individuals navigating the appeals process, addressing inquiries and concerns. This including documents and file requests.
• Leading the preparation, building, and completion of file copies or Grievance file needs.

Requirements

• Possess High School diploma or commensurate level of education required.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Smart Sheets, Teams, Excel and Word
• Have experience with disability products (STD/LTD), Leave programs.
• ERISA regulations and medical terminology would be beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of state and federal compliance issues impacting claim administration and appeals.
• Have 1-2 years of Admin or Support functions within an Insurance/Financial organization.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit skills in attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and problem solving. Have analytical, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

33,500 USD

Maximum :

53,100 USD
