Job Description:
The Analyst, Medical Economics is a dynamic role that applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to perform regular and ad-hoc analytics to support business and strategic initiatives. This role will analyze healthcare claims data as well as clinical data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the organization. Exact responsibilities may change over time as the company grows, so the ability to work in a flexible environment is key. The Analyst will work closely with others within the Actuarial, Reporting, and Finance areas, as well as cross functionally across the organization. Location/remote work flexible. Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and develop reports based on healthcare claims and clinical data
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership to drive strategic decision making
- Work collaboratively with others across the organization to understand business needs and formulate analytical solutions
- Support ad hoc analytical projects in a dynamic and evolving organization
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of six (6) months of relevant analytical healthcare experience, including healthcare claims data and familiarity with diagnosis and procedure, bill type, and place of service codes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with analytical skills (e.g. SQL/R/Python, Microsoft Excel), including data visualization and presentation
- Evidence of problem solving and verbal/written communication skills
- Critical thinker, self-starter, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives at the same time
- Comfort and experience working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
