The Washington State Gambling Commission currently has a rare opportunity for three (3) positions in three different program areas.

Position #1: This Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) position primarily supports the Licensing and Electronic Gambling Lab (EGL) units, a unit that is responsible for ensuring that licensees are qualified, gambling activities are operated in accordance with rules and laws, and all gambling equipment meets the requirements in tribal compacts, RCWs and WAC rules.

Under the supervision of the Licensing Agent in Charge (AIC), the AA3 provides complex administrative support for the Licensing AIC and EGL Administrator and coordinates the day-to-day administrative functions of each unit. The AA3 is responsible for coordinating the gambling self-exclusion program, coordinating the non-tribal and tribal gambling equipment submissions, being the administrator for various law enforcement databases used by staff for criminal history.

Position #2: This Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) position primarily supports the Tribal Relations and Tribal Gaming Units and may support other agency units related to tribal tasks.  The position takes direction and instruction from both the Tribal Liaison (TL) and Tribal Gaming Unit (TGU) Agent in Charge (AIC).

This position provides complex administrative support for both units and coordinates day-to-day administrative functions, high priority projects, and assignments. This position is responsible for facilitating effective operations of these units, enabling the TL to focus on policy issues related to tribal relations and enabling the TGU AIC and staff to focus on monitoring and regulating tribal gaming in support of the agency's mission to protect the public by ensuring gambling is legal and honest. This position has delegated authority to respond to internal issues and requests involving the operations of the named units, as well as to establish and maintain schedules and priorities.

Position #3: This Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) position primarily supports the Legal & Records, Legislative and Training Units.

Under the supervision of the Legal & Records Manager, this position also takes direction and instruction from the Legislative & Rules Manager and the Professional Standards & Training Unit Supervisor. This position provides complex administrative support for these units and coordinates day-to-day administrative functions, high priority projects, and assignments. This position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling and logistics of employee (agent and civilian) orientation and training, managing the agency's WASPC accreditation process and providing support for agency rules process, maintaining all agency training records, assisting with legislative bill tracking, rule notices, managing and coordinating legal notices, purchasing and inventory control, and completing special projects assigned.
