We are currently recruiting for an adaptable Administrative Assistant to support our Customer Contact Center team.

Duties

 

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Customer Contact Center’s leadership team. You’ll manage calendars, coordinate unit meetings, and assist with strategic planning efforts for the unit. Your strong attention to detail will ensure all written communications meet agency standards, while your organizational skills will keep office operations running smoothly. From processing complex documents to streamlining daily workflows, your work will directly contribute to a team that helps every Washington resident live, work, drive, and thrive.

Some of what you will do:

  • Proofread and compose business communications or documents.
  • Establish and maintain office procedures, standards, and work methods.
  • Coordinate, organize, and direct the operation of various projects.
  • Relay assignments between managers, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Exercise delegated authority to assign work to the Center staff and set timelines and priorities for their work on behalf of the Administrator.
  • Coordinate office operations such as scheduling activities with services, facilities, and equipment.

 

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Four (4) years professional work experience coordinating schedules and activities with services, facilities, and equipment.
  • Two (2) years of technical knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • The ability to type 40 WPM.
  • The ability to understand and follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity and inclusion through behaviors and decisions.

What may help set you apart

  • Two (2) years of experience with DOL systems and programs.
  • Associate’s degree or higher.
