Posting Description
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2,
- Architecture and Planning, will work as part a team to provide administrative and secretarial support for the Architecture Department, Building Technology (BT) section;
- serve as resource to faculty, graduate students, prospective students, and visitors; serve as liaison between section and headquarters, as well as with interdepartmental offices;
- handle financial concerns;
- coordinate admissions for the BT program; provide support for special projects as needed;
- maintain the day-to-day activities of the Building Technology Program; serve as Administrative Assistant to the program’s faculty, including overseeing the needs of the BT students and lab; be the primary point of contact for the BT Suite and lab;
- work closely with Department Headquarters and the Dean's Office with faculty promotions and searches;
- schedule doctoral exams; and pickup and distribute mail daily; prepare and ship time sensitive materials via FedEx.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of three years of administrative, office, or related experience.
PREFERRED:
- A high-level of computer literacy, including ability and willingness to learn new software; experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- proficiency with web-based management, including shared calendars, mail and to-do lists, group home and publication pages, and shared file folders; ability to prioritize and work independently;
- strong organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy;
- discretion with confidential information;
- and ability to work effectively within a culture inclusive of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations and an appreciation for and ability to leverage the capabilities, insights, and ideas of all individuals.
