This position will primarily work in the American Fork, UT, office but there is flexibility for hybrid/remote work.
Where You Fit:
Springbrook is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. If you have a strong understanding of the collections process, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and are an analytical thinker, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Contact customers for payment reminders and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain a systematic follow-up process to collect outstanding payments
- Work with Sr. A/R Analyst to escalate advanced collections issues and to negotiate and set up payment plans for customers in arrears, when necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues related to invoicing or collections
- Update and maintain customer records with accurate contact and payment information
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable status for management review
- Evaluate delinquent accounts and recommend accounts for collection agency referral
- Assist in developing and implementing credit and collections policies and procedures
- Maintain general awareness of Springbrook security and privacy policies
- Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Springbrook Incident Response Team
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of relevant work experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related finance role
- General knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2 - 3 years of previous experience with collections
- Sage Intacct and Salesforce.com proficiency
- Knowledge of legal regulations related to collections
