Title: Accounts Receivable Lead

Location: Sandown Village Australia

Job Description:

Accounts Receivable Lead

At Essity, we're committed to breaking barriers to well-being through innovative hygiene and health solutions that improve lives every day. As a global leader, we're driven by purpose, guided by values, and focused on creating a workplace where our people thrive.

We're now looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Lead to join our Corporate Finance team in Springvale and help shape the future of our receivables function.

About the Role:

As the Accounts Receivable Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our business across the region. Leading a small team, you'll oversee the full accounts receivable cycle - from invoicing to collections - while driving process improvements, managing credit risk, and collaborating with key stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, and Finance. This is a leadership role that blends operational excellence with strategic thinking and people development.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and develop the AR team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

  • Oversee the end-to-end AR process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely collections.

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve disputes and improve customer payment behaviour.

  • Monitor credit risk and ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to streamline AR processes and enhance performance.

  • Deliver accurate and timely AR reporting, including aging analysis, claims, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Act as a key liaison between the AR function and internal stakeholders, clearly communicating performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support internal and external audits with transparent documentation and reporting.

Who You Are:

You are a confident and capable finance professional with a passion for leadership and process improvement. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit management, or related financial operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing AR teams and driving performance improvements.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and dispute resolution skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC R6, SAP BI) and financial reporting tools.

  • Change management experience and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and coaching capabilities.

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, or Commerce (preferred).

  • Experience with ReadSoft Process Director (desirable).

What We Can Offer You:

Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do. Join us to improve well-being for people and drive positive change for society and the environment.

At Essity, you'll feel valued, empowered to grow, and challenged to achieve business results in a collaborative and open atmosphere.
