Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist will work with the wider Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure financial information is recorded and communicated in a timely and precise manner
• Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
• Frequent contact with internal stakeholders, external 3rd party vendors and customers

Duties

• Receiving, verifying and processing invoice in a timely manners. Matching invoices to POs
• Reviewing and reconciling invoice discrepancies. Working with other internal departments and stakeholders such as New Development, Construction & Operations teams to resolve invoice queries
• Scheduling payment runs and preparing payments, to ensure vendors are paid on time
• Booking invoices charging them to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice / expense nature, and project and purchase order relation
• Respond to all vendor enquiries regarding finance in a timely manner.
• Ensure that the mailboxes are properly administered
• Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all invoices received and processed
• Support with any ad hoc or administrative tasks as required
• Continuous improvement and active participation in the AP process

Job Requirements

• Good knowledge of accounting is required. A qualification as a financial accountant or an equivalent qualification is

preferred.

• A high degree of attention to detail is essential
• Good communicator and team player
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
• English and German mandatory
• Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives
• Ability to work on a hybrid basis; 3 days in the office as a minimum
• Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes
• Potential employees must complete a background check successfully
