Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently  looking to hire an Account Receivable Clerk for their client . This is a remote role .

 

Position Summary

The Collections Representative is responsible for managing third-party accounts receivable by analyzing denied and unprocessed claims, contacting payors, and ensuring timely reimbursement. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile Third-Party Accounts Receivable (AR), analyzing denied and unresponded claims

  • Conduct outbound calls to insurance carriers to check claim status and initiate appeals

  • Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to resolve payment discrepancies

  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues and ensure timely reimbursement

  • Process insurance and patient refunds or adjustments accurately

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards at all times

  • Meet or exceed daily production and quality standards

  • Research and respond to deposit or payment inquiries in a timely manner

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and departmental goals

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare accounts receivable or claims follow-up

  • 1+ year of experience working with multiple payors (Medicare and commercial insurance)

  • 1+ year of hospital or facility billing/collections experience (inpatient and outpatient)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST

  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare, medical, or pharmacy terminology

  • EPIC system experience preferred

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Skilled in internet navigation and online research

Pay Details: $21.71 per hour
