Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Fayetteville, NC. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates MS SQL development activities. Designs, develops, documents, database architecture for new and existing software applications.
• Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be designed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used.
• Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition.

This position supports our Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Methodologies: Fundamental understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC), QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Testing Types: Ability to create and execute functional, negative, regression, and end-to-end test cases.

Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting bugs and collaborating with developers

Desired Skills:

Automation Testing: Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

Programming Languages: Coding knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for writing test scripts.

API Testing: Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman and understanding of RESTful services.

DevOps/CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL for backend verification and data validation.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
