ABOUT YOU (Desired Candidate Profile)

 

As a Marketing Manager, you will leverage your planning, organizational, and execution skills to drive profitable business growth in the Japanese market. As part of our Asia Pacific (APAC) based marketing team, we are seeking a highly reliable, proactive, and responsible individual who can support marketing activities for the Japanese market while coordinating and integrating with our global strategy. You will have opportunities to collaborate with members from diverse professional fields around the world, agency partners, and exhibition/event production companies within a team-based environment.

You will report directly to the APAC Regional Marketing Manager (Korea office) and receive advice from the APAC Marketing Head (Japan office), taking ownership of various marketing campaigns and being responsible for executing the overall marketing strategy.

 

The work location for this position is Tokyo, Japan .

ABOUT YOU

 

As a Marketing Manager, you will use your planning, organization and execution skills to help the company profitably grow in Japan. We are looking for a trustworthy, motivated and accountable individual to support the marketing efforts of the team based in the Asia-Pacific Region while collaborating and integrating within the global strategy. When working within a team-based environment, you will have the opportunity to work with team members from different disciplines from around the world, agency partners and trade show producers. 

You will take ownership of marketing campaigns and support the execution of the overall marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the Regional Marketing Manager for APAC (based in Korea) and some advice by the Head of Marketing APAC (based in Japan). This role is based in Tokyo, Japan. 

RESPONSIBILITIES (Job Description)

  • As a member of the APAC marketing organization, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and measuring the effectiveness of localized B2B marketing campaigns and various initiatives aimed at acquiring new game-related leads and partners in the Japanese market.

  • You will be responsible for planning, managing, executing, measuring the effectiveness of, and reporting on marketing projects and initiatives related to your assigned Commerce-related solutions and services.

  • You will be responsible for daily communication and relationship management with external partners within the region, such as digital media planning agencies, PR agencies, and exhibition/event production companies.

  • Planning and coordinating opportunities for Xsolla experts to speak at events.

  • You will work in collaboration with the regional business development team to plan and produce original content aimed at onboarding new leads, generating business opportunities, and facilitating the smooth implementation of products and solutions.

  • To achieve our marketing goals, you will proactively share new ideas and approaches, contributing to improving the overall efficiency and results of the marketing team.

  • You will collaborate with other departments, such as the digital marketing team, to create and execute content and materials for various marketing campaigns, including paid advertising, organic and paid social media, content distribution, webinars, video content, blogs, eBooks, and translations.

  • You will collaborate with related teams, such as the event team, to support various administrative procedures related to the event and coordinate design approvals, while leading the overall planning, operation, and execution of the event.

 

  • Work within the APAC marketing organization to deliver, execute and measure localized B2B marketing campaigns and initiatives aimed at acquiring new gaming leads and partners in Japan. 

  • Create, manage, execute, measure and report on marketing projects and initiatives across the responsible Commerce solutions and services. 

  • Manage the day-to-day interaction of external partners within your region, including but not limited to: digital media planning agency, public relations contracted agency, and trade show production companies. 

  • Organize and plan public speaking opportunities for Xsolla experts.

  • Collaborate with regional business development teams to generate unique content aimed at onboarding new leads, securing meetings and helping integrate products and solutions efficiently. 

  • Contribute to the efficiency of the marketing team by sharing new ideas and approaches for meeting our marketing objectives.

  • Work with other teams as digital marketing team to execute and deliver paid advertising, organic/paid social media, content distribution, webinar, video content, blogs, ebooks and other marketing campaign collateral and materials including translations.

  • Work with other teams as event team to ask for the administrative support and design approval and lead the event 

QUALIFICATIONS (Application Requirements)

  • We are looking for individuals with 3-5 years of practical experience in advertising agencies, brand companies, ad technology, mobile app-related industries, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree holders

  • Experience in planning and developing exhibitions and brand-based B2B experiential marketing events.

  • Practical experience in completing a series of events, from planning and preparation to operation, implementation, and post-event analysis and reporting.

  • Experience collaborating with digital media agencies, exhibition production companies, PR agencies, etc.

  • Candidates must be able to perform their duties in both Japanese and English (business level).

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working for a global company or in a global environment.

  • We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively as part of a team and carry out tasks smoothly.

 

  • 3-5 years professional experience - agency, brand, ad-technology, or mobile apps related background 

  • Bachelor degree

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and developing trade show and branded B2B experiential marketing events 

  • Experience preparing and delivering events from start to finish, including planning, coordination, execution, and post-event analysis.

  • Experience working with or for digital media agencies, trade show producers, and public relations agencies

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and fluent English required

 

 Preferred 

  • Experience working with/within global companies 

  • Someone who can work collaboratively as part of a team and carry out tasks smoothly and effectively.
