About the Victorian Centre for Advancement in Allied Health (VCAAH)

The Victorian Centre for Advancement in Allied Health (VCAAH) was established between the Victorian Allied Health Professionals Association (VAHPA) and the then-Department of Health and Human Services alongside the under the Victorian Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement (2021-2026). Commencing operations in 2026, VCAAH is a first-of-its-kind initiative, funded by the Victorian Government and proudly hosted by Monash Health.

At VCAAH, we believe allied health makes lives well lived possible. Every day, allied health professionals help people learn, recover, participate, adapt and thrive through some of lifes most important moments.

Our purpose is to strengthen Victorias allied health workforce by bringing together people, ideas, evidence and partnerships to tackle shared challenges and create opportunities for the future. Working across all 27 allied health professions recognised by the Victorian Department of Health, we help the sector understand itself more clearly, innovate collectively and build the conditions for allied health professionals to thrive throughout their careers.

Working at VCAAH is a little different.

Join VCAAH as an Allied Health Innovators on full-time or part-time (0.4 eft minimum), fixed-term basis through to 30th December 2027.

Were looking for allied health innovators from different career stages: from Grade 2 to Grade 3, noting that we may not appoint at each grade level.

Innovation isnt a title reserved for the most senior person in the room. Some innovators are building their capability; others coordinate complex work and bring recognised expertise; and others provide specialist leadership that influences thinking and practice across the sector.  Its about the right combination of people, skills and experience to ensure that VCAAH delivers high value to the community.

Based at Monash Health's Kingston Centre in Heatherton, Victoria, there is opportunity to work remotely (within Victoria) through a hybrid arrangement.

The work

Depending on your background and interests, you may contribute to workforce development, innovation, research, evaluation or capability-building initiatives.

About You

Were building a team whose strengths, experiences and perspectives complement one another and who will thrive in these roles.

You'll feel right at home here if:

• you're comfortable with ambiguity, open to learning and motivated by making a meaningful contribution to the future of allied health; and,

Collectively, were looking for strengths across a range of areas to enable the delivery of our work. Were particularly interested in applicants who bring knowledge of allied health in the public health sector, alongside expertise in one or more of the following:

• Policy, strategy or partnerships

• Co-design and facilitation

• Knowledge translation

• Project and program delivery
