Job Description:

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Responsibilities

The Office Administrator advances the mission of the Catholic Student Center by serving as a key partner to leadership and ensuring effective administrative, financial, and operational support across the organization.

This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with some flexibility in hours.

This role will report to the Executive Director and will work in collaboration with the broader CSC staff and community.

Administrative & Executive Support

● Provide administrative support to the Chaplain and Directors.

● Assist Advancement, Ministry, and Operations teams with projects and deliverables as requested.

 

Operations & Financial Administration

● Serve as the primary point of contact for the CSC, including answering phones and welcoming guests, and conducting tours.

● Manage expense reports, and invoice processing.

● Support weekly collections, deposits, posting reports, and related reconciliations

● Administer the Federal Work-Study program.

 

Hospitality & Event Coordination

● Provide logistical support for meetings, events, and major liturgical celebrations (including Christmas and Easter).

● Support Advisory Council meetings, including minutes and hospitality.

● Manage sacramental inquiries (weddings, baptisms, Mass intentions).

● Coordinate birthday and sympathy acknowledgements and staff celebrations.

Facilities & Supplies

● Maintain chapel and office supplies.

● Oversee basic facility hospitality details, including plant care.

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree preferred.

● Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.

● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

● Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment.

● Able to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

● Experience supporting senior leaders in an administrative capacity.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; comfortable learning new software platforms.

● Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and a high standard of confidentiality.

● Supports and upholds the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
