We’re looking for an Edit Assistant to join our busy Film and Animation team here at RY in early January next year. This is a great opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch. We create standout film and animation projects for some of the worlds’ largest brands and organisations, across a range of audiences and formats.
The edit assistant works collaboratively with producers, animators, post-production facilities and freelancers to support our post-production and archiving workflow. They ensure that the in-house edit suites, archive and deliverables are of the highest standard expected by both the team and our clients. As part of our market-leading film and animation team, the edit assistant will also work on edits for smaller/internal projects, and collaborate with editors on larger ones.
For a flavour of our work, please see our current showreel:
Responsibilities will include:
Technical edit support:
- Prepping the edit suite and rushes for remote edits, prepping and logging shoot and edit drives, keeping up to date with technologies and software, and overseeing the maintenance of post-production equipment
File delivery and encoding:

Archiving:
- Working with producers, animators, freelancers and studios to ensure projects are washed up, safely backed up, archived and logged through our archiving system
Library:
- You’ll be responsible for logging all media in and out of RY
