Job Description:

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineering Engineer 3 (GCP) for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI(Hybrid). You will design and build scalable, high‑quality data pipelines that power reliable end‑to‑end data flow across cloud platforms.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineering Engineer 3 (GCP) job responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion and curation pipelines using Python, SQL, and DBT/Dataform.

• Architect and optimize end‑to‑end data flows on GCP, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.

• Implement strong data governance, access controls, and security practices to safeguard sensitive data across cloud environments.

• Automate data workflows and infrastructure provisioning using Astronomer and Terraform to ensure reliability and efficiency.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness of data pipelines and storage solutions.

• Collaborate with architects and cross‑functional teams to define best practices, communicate technical decisions, and ensure high‑quality data platform delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.

• 5-7 years in Data Engineering or Software Engineering, including at least 2 years of hands‑on experience building and deploying cloud‑based data platforms (GCP preferred).

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java with proven experience designing cloud‑native data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataProc.

• Solid understanding of SOA/microservices architecture and experience with IaC tools like Terraform, as well as CI/CD automation frameworks.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
