About the Role:

Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Associate Systems Analyst with experience in website development projects, UX or mobile app development.

This is a long-term 12-month contract role with extension options available, preferrably located at our client's Canberra office with hybrid working arrangement possibilities.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Partner with business analysts and other staff at all levels within the department and external agencies to determine business requirements
• Negotiation of scope within technical and resourcing limitations
• Plan and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and present design solutions
• Work closely with architects, UX designers, product design assurance and developers to ensure solution and functional designs are feasible and follow established patterns and standards
• Develop & document detailed functional design specifications, user stories, mock-ups, diagrams and other design artefacts
• Peer review colleagues' design deliverables, and confidence checks of built functionality
• Provide advice on the relative risks of project-related activities
• Coordinate the implementation of solution designs with relevant stakeholders
• Analyse and resolve design issues raised during development and post go-live

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in ICT

• 3-5+ years' demonstrated experience in IT systems analysis and design for digital products such as web applications and mobile app design.

• Note: We are not seeking people who are only experienced in website design & development.

• Prior experience working in the Australian Government, on complex IT systems

• Experience or a background in designing web and mobile apps

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens holding a baseline level security clearance or higher.
