Every year, Glassdoor issues its list of some of the nation’s highest-paying jobs, a comprehensive ranking of jobs that pay well. The great news for people looking to work remotely is that many of these jobs offer opportunities for virtual work. Remote.co cross-referenced the Glassdoor list to come up with some of the top-paying remote jobs of 2018.

The full Glassdoor list of the highest-paying jobs of 2018 ranks 50 job titles in industries like healthcare, engineering, business and financial services, technology, manufacturing, and the law. Perhaps not surprisingly, technology topped the list, with a range of tech jobs that pay very well. One of the world’s largest career and recruiting sites, Glassdoor came up with their list by analyzing median base salary reports shared by U.S.-based employees. Each job title had to receive at least 100 employee reports to be considered.

To come up with the Remote.co list below, we cross-referenced the top 25 job titles on the Glassdoor list against remote jobs in our database. The good news is that many of these jobs that offer fantastic pay can be done on a remote basis, signaling the continuing positive impact technology has had on workplace flexibility. Senior Advisor – Contract Counsel

Median base salary for corporate counsels: $115,580

The successful candidate for this senior-level legal position can work from anywhere in the U.S. Duties include providing legal support for a global leader in computing and technology, including writing legal documents and managing legal contracts across company divisions.

Software QA Manager

Job title on Glassdoor: Software Development Manager

Median base salary for software development managers: $108,879

You can work anywhere in the U.S. or from the employer’s Washington D.C. headquarters in this quality assurance role. The employer is seeking job candidates with at least seven years of experience in QA, including working in a managerial role.

Nurse Practitioner

Job title on Glassdoor: Nurse Practitioner

Median base salary for nurse practitioners: $106,962

Candidates for this remote job will need at least two years of primary care experience and the ability to proactively provide medical care and wellness education. Certification by the California Board of Nursing and an active nursing license are required.

BOOMI Integration Developer, Architect

Median base salary for data scientists: $96,116

The successful candidate will work for a Los Angeles-based company as part of a remote team. Duties include analyzing user behavior insights of the employer’s app and developing algorithms to improve efficacy. Salary is listed in the range of $70,000 to $100,000 a year.
