The video production manager leads all video production efforts to ensure a consistent, compelling, and unified brand experience. This role is responsible for managing video projects from concept to completion. VPM must possess strong scripting, writing, storyboarding, and concepting skills used to create engaging video content used across multiple platforms. VPM must be able to oversee all production and filming aspects including directing, lighting, audio, camera work, equipment management and sourcing and editing. This role will report to the creative director and collaborate directly with senior visual designer and key stakeholders to translate business initiatives into creative video assets.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop video content to support brand messaging, product marketing, client testimonials, internal communications, social media promotions, recruiting, sales, training and other projects
  • Concept, script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources and select ideal video format for projects
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of video content using feedback to evolve the final deliverable
  • Grow and evolve the nThrive video experience both internally and externally
  • Develop video production schedules and workflows
  • Monitor design trends and suggest areas for growth
  • Confidently present ideas to creative directorand other internal team members
  • Create well-produced, engaging videos that tell compelling stories
  • Translate business objectives into creative video assets
  • Utilize advanced writing skills to create clear and well-developed scripts, and storyboards that guide production and editing
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders’ company-wide
  • Display intensive knowledge of motion graphics, animations, design, and typography trends
  • Manage video library, vendors, equipment, and licensing
  • Oversee all aspects of remote and on-location video shoots, including planning, equipment, lighting, voice recording, and talent direction
  • Skillfully operate cinema, DSLR and mirrorless cameras
  • Skillfully edit footage to ensure a strong final product
  • Keepup-to-dateon current video, editing and design trends
  • Create videos for product marketing initiatives, social media and other channels
  • Support creative services team in creating non-video assets
  • Manage and develop original, creative, video elements for multiple platforms including but not limited to social first, editorial, franchise and news content as well as podcasts
  • Manage client expectations
  • Work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround, multi-tasking and quality output

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of video production and editing experience needed to oversee all aspects of video creation
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of converting business objectives into engaging content
  • Brand marketing, field production planning and execution experience
  • Self-starter with ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders on multiple projects
  • Experience with different video styles ranging from white board, animated, motion graphic, live streaming to live action
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience creating engaging video content for use on all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, offline and print
  • Proficiency with common animation, editing, design, and presentation software – After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D Software, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Work under tight timelinesto meet deadlines
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Superior follow-through and high-level of accountability for assigned projects
  • Understanding of video pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Travel/Work Setting: This position will be remote based, might require travel for video shooting, trainings, and meetings.
  • Portfolio of work will need to be provided for this role

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field (Film, Television, Animation, Visual Design, or equivalent experience)
  • Illustration and drawing skills a plus
