With over 40 years of leadership in providing communications and technology solutions for the Deaf community, CSD is always seeking to identify and implement cutting edge technology for the benefit of the community and our customers. Programs such as Connect Direct, CSD Learns, and CSD Works approach the challenges facing the Deaf community in new and exciting ways. CSD is looking for a Systems Engineer to help further this mission by providing technology guidance to business leaders, supporting efforts to implement the best cloud-based solutions for the CSD team, and working with the technology team to manage oversight, compliance, and policy guidance to the organization. Day to day responsibilities are a mix of compliance management, solutions research, and internal customer relationship management. While there are several defined job requirements, the person filling this role will be challenged with a wide variety of technology opportunities and can often be found wherever the fire is the brightest. Professionals with diverse technical backgrounds who consider themselves to be multi-disciplinary are encouraged to apply.


  • Working with internal business units to understand and support their technology compliance requirements
  • Act as a partner with internal customers to select, implement, operate, and maintain core business systems
  • Researching potential enterprise technology solutions and manage relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Work collaboratively with the IT Operations team to address the Information Security goals of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum four years of professional experience in a technology focused position, such as Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Administration, or Information Security
  • Professional experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SSAE18, PCI, ISO 27k, and/or HIPAA (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
  • Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language (PREFERRED)
