Social Media and Content Manager (Remote, United States)

We’re searching for a Social Media and Content Manager to join our team. You’ll be leading the charge to grow our social media presence through data-driven content that drives brand awareness, traffic and sales. Your focus will be on content creation and the everyday execution of our social media channels and blog. The ideal candidate would be an intelligent, eager, problem-solver with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to work in a collaborative working environment. This role reports into our Sr. Manager, Content Marketing, who works closely with the communications, creative, and demand generation teams to develop marketing content that elevates the Cornerstone brand, fuels Cornerstone’s campaigns, amplifies our thought leadership and drives demand for and awareness of our offerings.

In this role you will…

  • Build and execute a global social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Maintain a social media calendar along with social campaigns that are tightly integrated to marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Leverage social media marketing tools to:
    • Engage prospects, influencers, media, customers across channelsand to identify and build relationships with thought leaders;
    • Assist employee advocacy and social selling tactics to amplify Cornerstone’s thought leadership and employer brand.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information to improve Cornerstone’s brand presence.
  • Co-manages the functional content blog calendar tied to annual campaigns.
  • Work with a team of writers, editors, external contributors and cross-functional contributors in producing unique and engaging content that is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search, user experience and buyer stage.
  • Create briefs that clearly articulate the purpose of the content, sourcing key messages, and industry stats, while managing multiple
  • Coordinate with colleagues, thought leaders, and other third parties to develop and deliver joint content.
  • Develop or improve standards, systems and practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance and repurposing.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

  • 5+years’ of experience in social media and content marketing; a track record in B2B technology/software environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications or equivalentwork experience.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling and creative ideation skills.
  • Skilled at developing long-form content that attracts visitors; practical educational content resources that influence and accelerate buying cycles.
  • Strong campaign creation and management.
  • The ability to think like an educator, using existing buyer insights to recognize what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
  • Demonstrated ability and fluency usingsocial media applications and tool; experience using SEO and other content marketing tools a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume production environment, while continuously improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent problem solver with demonstrated experience working across various marketing stakeholders to find solutions.
  • A willingness to embrace change, test new ideas and adapt strategies throughout the content marketing creation, audit and optimization process.
  • Familiarity with HR space would be an asset but not essential.
  • Extensive experience in creating compelling online copy, images (sourcing and optimizing) and content for all social media, as well as channel-specific strategies (e.g., blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
