The Role:

We are seeking a Sr. Manager of IT to lead an applications and products team to support NVA’s Pet Resort (PR) business unit. The Sr. manager will build a roadmap for PR that aligns with business strategy and priorities. She or He will be responsible for applications delivery and support for PR applications and products portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and implement best practices and standards for packaged applications implementation, software development and application support methodology
  • As the leader of the PR applications & products team, create and implement best practices and standards for packaged applications implementation, software development and application support methodology
  • Work closely with senior management and business unit leaders to align with business priorities
  • Help NVA evaluate and select new next-gen SaaS platforms that deliver business value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders across the company to help drive the roadmap and deliver quality solutions
  • Work as part of a company-wide department that supports Marketing, Finance, Business Operations, Field Operations and Management
  • Manage a team of diverse employees and contractors to deliver projects and services developing creative solutions to address business challenges
  • Coach team members to drive customer centric culture and agile delivery
  • Help NVA evaluate and select service providers / vendors to deliver quality services
  • Manage project and operational budget


  • 6+ years of experience in packaged software implementation (practice information management, EHR, inventory management), software engineering (web and mobile applications, API integrations), business analysis and program management
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and coaching teams to lead application delivery
  • Experience in Veterinary Services, Hospitality or Healthcare industry is big plus
  • Bachelor degree is preferred
  • Strong expertise in evaluating and implementing SaaS packaged software platforms (examples: Practice information management, Inventory management, P2P platforms)
  • Experience working with multiple cloud based platforms
  • Strong hands-on expertise in core technical skills (database, software development stacks, mobile application development and integration technologies)
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and dashboard visualization tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with senior leadership
  • Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
