Senior-Applications Developer – Dallas, TX [& various locations throughout the U.S., may work from home]
DUTIES: Responsible for the performance of any/all functions involved in the development and maintenance of new and existing applications. Use programming language and technology, such as Agile methodologies, Unix, Teradata, Informatica, TWS, SQL Server, Vertica, Oracle, and Shell scripting. Write code, complete programming and documentation, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Analyze, design, program and modify software enhancements and or new products used in local, networked, or internet related computer programs. Interact with users to define systems requirements and or necessary modifications. Apply in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards/processes. Integrate industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge solve unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent. Independently apply sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues. Develop new concepts, methods, and techniques for cross functional initiatives. Recognize and pursue alternative methods. Exercise latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Lead multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth Impact current and future business opportunities through application of specialized technical/industry knowledge. Develop methods/techniques based on strategic power objectives. Mentor and provide technical guidance and explain advanced concepts to others in work area.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electronic Engineering, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience utilizing Agile methodologies, Unix, Teradata, Informatica, TWS, SQL Server, Vertica, Oracle, and Shell scripting.
