About this Job!

Our state-of-the-art Call Center provides a variety of in-bound call support. Reservation agents take back-to-back incoming calls from customers utilizing both the U-Haul toll free 1-800-GO-UHAUL phone number and customers calling specific U-Haul Moving Centers across the U.S. and Canada. Agents answer general product and rental inquiries, as well as secure and schedule reservations for U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing devices, hitches and storage rooms.

  • Answer incoming calls and provide technical support and assistance with regards to scheduling truck and trailer rentals.
  • Receive and handle a large number of inbound calls daily.
  • We are seeking people that can WOW! our customers and continue to earn that customer’s loyalty.
  • Shift start/end times, days scheduled and total hours scheduled each week will vary based on call volume.

Moonlighting position.

  • Take incoming calls only No outbound calls.
  • Three weeks of instructor-led paid training/education.
  • Base plus bonus – Potential to earn $14-$18 per hour (average base plus bonus)..

Performance Compensation Bonus*

Payment of bonus is determined weekly and paid $2.05 per piece of equipment reserved. There is no bonus during the education/training period. After training new team members starting in week four through week eight, new team members will qualify to earn a bonus if they achieve 3.0 confirmed reservations per hour worked. Starting week nine of employment team members will qualify to earn bonus if they achieve 3.25 confirmed reservations per hour worked and are in compliance with a weekly monitored call.

Schedules

  • Working Mondays, Fridays and one weekend day is required.
  • You must be available to work holidays.

Training/Education

Three weeks of instructor-led paid training/education. Week one is accelerated classroom education with an instructor. Week two and three are hands-on education in small groups with an instructor. After initial education work independently with additional continued education courses and counseling from the manager, assistant manager and team coach.

The following is required to work from home

  • You must have a quiet, private work area.
  • Dependent and child-care arrangements must be made as if you were working at a U-Haul site.
  • All work duties including education must be performed at your home address.

The following technical requirements must be met to work from home

  • Have a non-wireless USB headset with a microphone.
  • Minimum Internet speed requirements: 5MB down / 2MB up, or greater. Preferred Internet speed for a better experience: 10MB down / 5MB up.
  • Check your Internet speed at speedtestcustom.com. You must click the drop-down menu below the GO button and choose any server in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Have a PC or laptop with Windows 7, 8 or 10 OS. Mac OS is permitted for most positions but Windows OS is preferred for a better experience.
  • Minimum RAM requirements: 8G of RAM or greater.
  • Minimum processor requirement for Windows OS: CPU score of 2500 or greater.

The following are not permitted when working from home due to compatibility, performance, security or other concerns:

  • A wireless or non-USB headset.
  • A PC/laptop or Internet that does not meet the minimum requirements.
  • Mobile hot-spot, tethering, satellite Internet service or similar.
  • Using a Proxy server or third party network.
  • Compute stick or similar device.
  • Windows XP or Vista operating system.
  • Rental, rent-to-own or public computer/laptop.
  • Working in a public place or using a public internet connection.
  • Unsecured Wi-Fi or one that does not meet with the other Wi-Fi requirements.
  • Running any non-work related programs on your computer while working.
  • Having any other anti-virus installed/in use on your computer while working other than the Company provided anti-virus software. This is a PCI (payment card industry) requirement.
