Summary

As the SaaS Product Manager, the ideal candidate will create and maintain a product roadmap and write internal proposals to outline new feature development for Fulcrum. The SaaS Product Manager will be the voice of the team, communicating feature releases and managing expectations with other stakeholders within the company. It will be imperative that the SaaS Product Manager becomes a domain expert, understands the market, competitive landscape, and how Fulcrum fits into it all. He or she must have 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, tech-driven company, preferably SaaS, to be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Be an expert in Fulcrum’s full suite of capabilities in order to work seamlessly with the engineering and support teams on developing the best product, converse with customers, and conduct demos
  • Understand our customers, their work, and what they need from Fulcrum and keep the rest of the team on track with a customer-focused product development process
  • Keep track of what every area of the product team is working on and serve as the “glue” between Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to gain insight from customers through direct interaction
  • Use a jobs-to-be-done approach to customer research, with quantitative numbers to back up our product decisions
  • Lead scheduled scrum meetings as needed to keep the engineering and design teams in sync
  • Work with product owner and heads of each area to sequence product development activities, and define and enforce shipping deadlines
  • Learn from users, understand their problems, and drive the development of innovative solutions — connecting dots to see how we can build transformative product capabilities
  • Write clear specs, draw wireframes, and make sure the team has what they need to execute
  • Contribute to blog posts and press releases when needed for Fulcrum product marketing
  • Contribute to product testing, feedback, and issue reporting during release cycles to identify and fix problems before they’re customer-facing

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced, tech-driven company, preferred background in SaaS
  • 3+ years of experience working hands-on with engineering teams
  • Experience owning delivering high impact, high leverage software products
  • Comfort with technical architecture, user-driven design, and ability to read & write basic API documentation
  • Comfort
