You Are a Revenue Assurance Senior Accountant

  • Support accounting for all North America Revenues including Enterprise and Education, Retail and Direct to Consumer sales channels. Includes revenue from software, subscription services and bundled software and subscription service products.
  • Account for and track special revenue arrangements.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Perform ongoing internal controls and reviews of revenue recognition.
  • Participate in review of both Enterprise & Education and Consumer sales contracts and credit memos.
  • Reviewing and processing adjustments to returns reporting.
  • Monitor and review system transaction processing to detect/address errors as necessary.
  • Responsible for inventory item coding to Revenue GL accounts.
  • Participate in SEC reporting process and internal management reporting, as necessary.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, as necessary.
  • Ensure SOX controls are properly performed and documented.
  • Reports to Manager – Revenue Assurance.

Initiative: Identify opportunities for streamlining processes. Strive to be proactive with learning higher level functions within the group.

Accountability: Completeness and accuracy of work while ensuring proper application of GAAP.

Adaptability: Ability to function well in a fast paced, dynamic environment while having the ability to manage competing priorities.

Collaboration: Develop and maintain working relationships with members of FP&A, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Order Management and other groups as necessary.

All About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience in Public Accounting or public company experience
  • 3-4 years of experience with revenue recognition, with preference for software revenue recognition, multiple element arrangements, gross vs net revenue policies for resellers, and accounting for rebates and customer incentives/payments preferred.
  • CPA license or working towards CPA license preferred.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Oracle ERP system knowledge a plus.
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills.
