Job Description:
The Veteran’s Health group at Leidos has an opening for an ITIL Service Asset and Configuration Management Program Manager position. The role can be worked remote from your home office within the United States. This role will be in support of the Veterans Affairs Service Operations Configuration Management team. Program Manager must have experience with diverse IT projects both large and small. Must be able to manage a portfolio of projects. Must be well versed in full systems development life cycle, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks to the program. Must be able to manage to cost, schedule and performance.

The Program Manager shall provide change, release and configuration support at the ITIL program office level and support the ITIL functions of Change Management, Release Management, Build Management and Configuration management, as they are executed throughout the ITOPS. These ITIL management disciplines ensure that all components of product releases and infrastructure changes are organized and deployed in a controlled manner enabling a repeatable process. The Program Manager shall review, analyze and standardize release and deployment processes and audit those processes as well. The Contractor shall support the design and implementation of formal procedures, including checks and balances throughout the process. The Program Manager shall identify and mitigate risk to ensure the integrity and recoverability of the production environment and ensure the currency, accuracy, and completeness of the CMDB for all business and technical data elements for IT Operations applications.

Primary Responsibilities
This resource will support our efforts in aligning Change, Release and Configuration Management through the enterprise and they will assist with this increased workload. They will support the Configuration Management team with establishing organizational timelines, policy and procedures to meet organizational goals. The Resource will assist with leading SharePoint Project Management, Timelines and documentation efforts.

  • Works to convince others to accept areas view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices and approaches.

Knowledge:

  • Has expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for ITIL SACM.
  • Recommends and implements new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of functions strategy and operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters degree plus 15 years of experience, or 25 years of experience.
  • Requires Program and project management expertise for Configuration Management (ITIL SACM experience).
  • Requires expertise in Change, Release and Configuration Management for process analysis and business Integration.
  • Must be able to manage CMDB remediation efforts as well as be skilled in aligning CMDB’s, and other data sources to a Configuration Management System.
  • Must be able to provide completed products; Timelines, Polices, Directives, SOP’s etc
  • Must have expertise in business process reengineering
  • Must have expert understanding of the ITIL Methodology as supported in Change, Release and Configuration management.
  • Must be able to manage CMDB remediation efforts as well as be skilled in aligning CMDB’s, and other data sources to a Configuration Management System.
  • Must be able to provide completed products; Timelines, Polices, Directives, SOP’s etc
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
  • Must be US Citizen or Greencard Holder based on contract requirements.
