Description
As a marketing generalist, you will be responsible for the support of our mix of marketing channels used to drive new and existing customer growth. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of channels and assist our senior team members in the development and optimization of the new channels. We’re looking for someone with an understanding of the basics of marketing and UX design, who is also eager to expand their knowledge in a varied, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the execution of company goals for the mix of marketing channels used at NinjaHoldings (lead providers, direct mail, SEO, affiliates, etc.)
- Develop, test and optimize marketing strategies to drive new customer growth and increase engagement
- Manage the lifecycle of your experiments; building, launching, analyzing and iterating upon A/B tests to improve the overall customer experience
- Monitor performance of marketing channels, investigate anomalies, problem solve to fix issues, and identify opportunities
- Collaborate with management, other departments, and business units to create innovative, measurable marketing communications ideas
- Utilize competitive marketing research and product intelligence to understand the competitive landscape
- Evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing communications activities in terms of conversions, customer response, publicity value and member success
- Maintain a consistent track record of developing successful customer journeys that support key conversion metrics
- Work with our PM and engineering teams to create requirements and assist with the development of marketing related features
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Economics, Marketing, Business or equivalent job experience
- 2-3 years of marketing experience
- Exceptional written communication skills are required
- Proven experience with marketing, project management, testing and reporting is important for success
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in easy-to-understand language
- Must be self-directed with excellent follow through and initiative capabilities
- Strong understanding of core marketing and communication principles and strategy
- Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment; ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities; ability to efficiently manage time based on business priorities
Additional Pluses, but Not Requirements:
- Experience with email marketing
- Experience with SQL
- Experience working with specialty finance or FinTech
- Experience with affiliate referral marketing
