Responsibilities:

  • Administer various employee benefit programs, including, but not limited to state pension and 401(k);
  • Partner with Payroll team to coordinate pension changes that impact payroll calculation, deductions, taxes, accrual, etc.;
  • Process a semi-monthly review of payroll reports to ensure state pension and 401(k) are accurate;
  • Process monthly audit of 401(k) deferral setup;
  • Work in conjunction with the pension processing team to ensure timely reporting/payments for all state pension plans;
  • Act as point of contact and web administrator where applicable for all state pension agencies;
  • For new and current partner schools, determine need for, state requirements for, and implementation of pension programs;
  • Resolve escalated administrative problems with state agencies;
  • Handle escalated pension inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution;
  • Prepare Form 5500; ensure compliance with recordkeeping in accordance with government regulations;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, including timeliness and accuracy of filings and reports;
  • Manage the annual 401(k) census, ADP and ACP Testing, employer match payment, and third-party audit of the plan;
  • Assist with various research projects and/or special projects;
  • Support Partner Schools with leave management and accommodations as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree, with HR focus, preferred
  • Four to eight years Pension/401(k) experience
  • Excellent technical and software skills
  • Familiarity with UltiPro HRIS is a plus
  • Strong project management and/or team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively both with and without supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
