NCDR Chest Pain-MI Clinical Data Abstractor

Job Overview

The NCDR Chest Pain-MI Clinical Data Abstractor is responsible for the review and detailed abstraction of the Chest Pain-MI registry and using the industry-related reference manuals. Additionally, the NCDR Chest Pain-MI Clinical Data Abstractor is responsible for following the guidelines published in the project parameters/roadmap document, Validation Policy, and Procedure and working within the established productivity guidelines for each assigned project and case type. The NCDR Chest Pain-MI Clinical Data Abstractor is accountable for their committed work hours for each project assignment and assist the management team with meeting the goals and deadlines for each assigned project. The NCDR Chest Pain-MI Clinical Data Abstractor is detail-oriented, committed to high-quality data abstraction, meets both quality and productivity standards, functions well independently, and works well under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met.

We are seeking Part-Time and Full-Time candidates with current NCDR Chest Pain-MI experience.

Qualifications

Requirements and Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of current data abstraction experience with NCDR Chest Pain-MI (formally ACTION) registry
  • A minimum of 1 year of current data abstraction experience with the NCDR Cath and PCI registry in addition to Chest Pain-MI, preferred
  • Personal Computer with Windows 8 operating system or higher
  • High-Speed Internet Access (5 Mbps Download & 2 Mbps Upload speeds)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment skills assessment exam

  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Computer savvy with proficiency in EMR software and registry/database
  • Abide by strict confidentiality regulations as defined by HIPPA and company policy
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as highly organized, proficient time management and critical thinking skills
