Overview

Ciox provides Medical Coding and Auditing services to clients ranging from physician practices and outpatient clinics to community hospitals, academic medical facilities, and trauma centers. We provide an integrated approach to people, processes, and technology.

We are looking for experienced, credentialed Coders who are looking to invest in their careers.

Responsibilities

We have full time, part-time and PRN positions available for the following:

Facility Coding

We hire experienced, credentialed coders for all facility coding types – inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department – and all facility coding subtypes, including simple diagnostic radiology encounters to complex inpatient visits.

Professional Fee Coding (Multi-Specialties)

We hire specialists across all professional fee coding functions from Neurology to Home Health specialists. Our coders can develop a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to further career experiences and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from AHIMA certified HIM Program or Nursing Program or completion of certificate program with CCS preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of coding experience in a hospital, clinic, and/or coding consulting role.
  • Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software.
  • Required to take and pass annual Introductory HIPAA examination and other assigned testing to be given

To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Ciox Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the state in which you will be working, exemptions may be available on the basis of disability, medical contraindications to the vaccine or any of its components, pregnancy or pregnancy-related medical conditions, and/or religion.
