Experienced professional coder is responsible for daily coding, denial management, charge hold, RAI resolution and abstraction for Anesthesia and Pain Management. The coder is responsible for escalation of coding questions and request for coding guidance to the Coding Coordinator and/or Supervisor. Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training – High School diploma or equivalent. Professional Coding Certification CPC, CCS or CCS-P. McKesson SCC Coding Certification required.

Business Experience – 1-3 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivity requirements. Lead Coder or Supervisory experience a plus. Experience auditing is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Professional Coding Certification. Good communication skills. Proficient with Excel and MS office products.
