Marketing Campaign Writer

Overview

We are looking for a creative, skilled copywriter to support digital marketing campaigns with an emphasis on digital advertising. Our content team meets specific business objectives by employing tight narrative and writing skills across multiple distribution channels. We work to show how people in every industry are making an impact with Esri’s world-class mapping and spatial analytics.

This writer must be able to create effective copy for paid search, banner, paid social ads, marketing emails, and landing pages to drive global demand and brand awareness. Our ideal candidate is a curious and engaged learner, a positive team contributor, and a proactive communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Work with subject matter experts and campaign managers to build campaign content strategy
  • Develop and deliver holistic narratives and messaging to support campaign content creation
  • Produce compelling advertising copy, including headlines and calls to action, that effectively communicates campaign offers and brand statements for specific audiences throughout the marketing funnel
  • Produce web and email content that meets specific business objectives and generates awareness, interest, and demand for Esri and our solutions
  • Write and self-edit for quality, consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with marketing teams, designers, and internal stakeholders to drive authentic, consistent messaging and customer-centric content across multiple channels as needed, present copy to stakeholders in review sessions
  • Develop and tailor stories that resonate with specific audiences with specific interests

Requirements

  • Portfolio Submission: To be considered for this role, please provide a link to a portfolio or include samples of your recent work
  • 7+ years of experience as a copywriter, ad writer, or marketing writer
  • Knowledge of best practices for writing digital ads, writing for the web, and email
  • A proven blend of editorial and storytelling skills, especially short-form (copywriting)
  • Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling, customer-centric copy and content for digital channels
  • Energetic mindset with the talent to produce multiple options quickly and within specifications (i.e., word count, target audience, voice, style, etc.)
  • Fast and insightful research skills
  • Enthusiasm for understanding content performance
  • Bachelor’s or higher in communications, marketing, journalism, or English

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with B2B marketing
  • Experience writing in the technology industry or other technical field
  • Experience with organizational project and task management software
  • Familiarity with email marketing software
  • Experience with content strategy, SEO writing, and alt text creation
  • Familiarity with campaign and funnel design and understanding of key campaign performance metrics
  • Experience and interest in long-form writing such as blogs and articles
